Getting Traffic with Youtube (not music or popular videos)

Hey guys! whats up so basically I have a youtube account with about 2300 subs. I use it to upload my graphics and other things. What i do is make intros, designs, etc. Well one day i found adfly and tried it out! and i love it!. Basically i have 2 proven methods to earning without the other ones found here.

1.) Build-Up

-Build up a youtube or a website with active following, and communication. I mean that you must get involved. You kind of have to have an active traffic outlet otherwise it is impossible. there is no quick fix.
-anyways what I did was make a video entitled "Intro Template" I made a template and gave it away. The adfly link got clicked on about 100 times and this was valuable. So i do this often and can earn alot! Another thing I do is share things with them such as new wwebsites and other things.

2.) Referrals

-I got some friends who were also active in youtube and they did the same method. And look at these results! http://adf.ly/S2wZB My referrals are making me more money than I can imagine and I love it! It helps me get extra money and boosts my balance for payday.
-Another helpful thing to do is to offer links that people want. Such as free template, or maybe free assistance. These are a few ways I make money!

3.) My final way is just by tweeting which is overly common. but it gets 10 clicks here and there and doesnt take much time.

Ok, I've read through some of these threads and I must say I'm not happy. Most people are just posting random ideas just to post their adf.ly link and its getting very annoying. So I thought I'd share a few methods that work.

Youtube

As you know, youtube is the number 3 largest site on the internet. Obviously you want to use adf.ly there. The question is, how do you get a lot of views? Imagine yourself getting 100,000 views on 1 video. If you have interesting content, perhaps 70% of those people will click on your adf.ly link. Now I don't feel like doing the math but that would be a lot. That from just one video. I'm currently using youtube for most of my clicks. Also keep in mind that getting something like $1000 per month from adf.ly is completely possible so lets begin by sharing a little bit of what I'm doing.

1 - Whats hot? What are people waiting for to happen? You want to create videos about these hot topics before anyone else ever gets the chance too.
EX - For you gamers, I'm sure you are familiar with a game called Skyrim correct? Well, lets go back in time. You want to follow gamefaq, xbox.com, ign, joystic, etc. The minute skyrim is mentioned on any of these sites, I guarantee you that any smart person is going to upload a video about skyrim. The first to do so is going to get those 1,000,000 views on youtube. Of course, you can't beat IGN's youtube channel, but there is a good chance of you getting ranked 2nd or 3rd.

Then its a matter of using adf.ly to point to other content in your description. Its better to make a channel that you are comfortable or familiar with. If your not sure, its time to suck it up and learn what the world likes even if you aren't interested.

Here is another example. I'm sure everyone knows that Whitney Houston passed away right? Do you realize how many people jumped up and created dozens of Whitney Houston tribute videos? Imagine if you were the first one to upload a video. You do realize you would of had over a million views right? And if you used adf.ly to point them to other content (maybe a download link, lyrics, or a news blog), you would of been rolling in the dough. I had a video up for whitney and unfortunantly I was a little too slow of hearing the news. I did in the end manage to get rank 5th or 6th for a keyword on youtube but that rank wasn't enough to get me enough clicks.

2 - Make sure you are uploading videos every day. Try your best to get a high rank on all of your videos. After a month, you might be able to see $100 a month quite easily.

3 - Use adf.ly along with a CPA network. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to advertise so I'll just say google Maxbounty as their CPA is one of the best. If you find my info useful, I'd like you to use my cpa referral link. Just throw me a pm.

FACEBOOK & Twitter

The second largest site on the internet. Of course you want to use it. Unfortunately, I'm hearing things like facebook blocking adf.ly for spam or something. Hopefully they don't do something stupid like that. If they do, ever last member here needs to mass flood facebook and protest against their block.

1 - Make a Fan page.
2 - link your facebook, youtube, and twitter accounts.
3 - Create unique content and useful content.
4 - when sharing of course always use your adf.ly links
5 - Create a capture page for your fanpage. Remember that constantly getting subscribers is the most useful thing you can do. In fact, I might go as
far as saying email marketing, or gathering emails, and having subscribers is much better then any method you can think of. It just takes time.

BLOGGING & SEO (Search Engine Optimizatoin)

This is the number one method of course. Who doesn't use a search engine? DOES ANYONE IN THIS ROOM NOT USE A SEARCH ENGINE? DOES ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO USE A COMPUTER NOT USE A SEARCH ENGINE?? NO ONE????? GOOD!!

1 - Before making a blog, think about what you want your blog to be about. After you decide, do your keyword research. Simply use the google keyword research by clicking HERE and find out exactly what people are searching for.
EX - Lets say you were going to get a dog. You know nothing about dogs. So you google "dog training." Did you know that 1,500,000 people search for "dog training" every month? Thats 50,000 visitors to your blog EVERY DAY. If you google dog training, whoever has the number 1 position for a dog training blog is making a ton of money right now. Thats what you want to aim for with your blog. You want to get Rank 1 on google.

2- How do you get rank one on google? RESEARCH!! Learn SEO. Google it. Spend a good year on practicing seo cause you are probably going to fail your first, 2nd, and possibly your 3rd time. OR, you can hire an seo expert. The idea to seo is getting quality backlinks and have unique content but I won't go over that here. It would take too long. I've been doing it for a year and a half and I'm just now getting the hang of it.

3 - Use CPA, google adsense, and affiliate links on your blog to make some income. DON'T GET YOUR ADWORS/ADSENSE BANNED! If you do, you will lose any money you may of had cause they won't give it to you.

4 - Don't over use adf.ly on your blog. Too many ads showing up will get annoying and some people might just leave our site altogether.

Blog and Website Tools

robably the most profitable way of using Adfly.  Read on for lessons on the “full page script”, “website entry script” and “links”.  Play around with these different tools and find out what works best for your site and maximises your profits.

Firstly let’s briefly mention what a blog/website is and then we can look at the different tools that AdFly offers.

Blogs

If you have a subject area that you want to discuss, blogs and websites can be a useful tool.  As a place to offer opinions, share information, share links and become a specialist portal, blogs are very useful.

A decent blog or website takes time to build, manage and get interest in.  But once people are regularly visiting your site they can be a great resource for getting clicks... ever automatically...

Full Page Script

There are a number of tools that AdFly makes available to be used for websites.  One of the main ones is the “full page script”.  This is a tool that allows you to change all of the links on your blog/site in o AdFly links.  

You can personalise the code to have banner or interstitial adverts used, so make sure that you pick the advert type that maximises your profits.

Website Entry Script

My favourite tool is the “website entry script”.  This tool means that any visitor to your site has a limited time to browse and then an advert is displayed.  There is less money earned from this type of advert, but it doesn’t require the visitor to click anywhere, which is a great bonus.

Again, the code can be changed to affect the time length before the advert is displayed.

Links

This is the main tool and the one you use most often.  It is the tool that shrinks links and ads adverts.

Obviously the main reason for having your own blog/website is to share/discuss something.  The trick often used is to display some information on the blog/site and link to the bulk of the information.  This means you can make good use of your AdFly links and one the main benefits of having your own blog/site.

Screenshots and Pictures

One way of increasing clicks is to give a preview of the information you are going to be directing users too.  And one of the best ways of doing this is with screenshots and pictures.

Screenshots

If you want to pass out information via blogs or forums you can paste an AdFly link with a description, but one eye catching way of grabbing someone’s attention is to “prove” the extra information exists by providing a screenshot.

Screenshots can obtained using all PCs, Macs and even Smartphones.  If you don’t know how to do this, then take some time to learn.

Post your screenshots and have any click on them link (via AdFly) to the correct page.

I’ve found using screenshots rather than just links has massively increased the number of clicks I can get on a post.

Pictures

i've found one of the best ways to get extra clicks is to give the low-resolution version of a picture away for free and the high-resolution picture.

This technique does not require you to hide your AdFly link on forums/Facebook or get in trouble for posting paid shortening links on forums/Facebook.

Steps:

1. Create two versions of your picture (1 in high-resolution and one in low-resolution)
2. Upload the high-resolution picture to an image hosting site (Facebook or Flickr for example) and create an AdFly for the url.
3. On the low-resolution picture embed the link (make the picture clickable if posting on a forum) or write the link url somewhere on the picture (at the bottom but make it clear) with a comment saying follow this url for a high-resolution picture.
4. Post the low resolution picture on forums/facebook/flickr/wherever.

I’ve never had an image removed for following this methodology.  The trick is to make sure the low-resolution image is clear enough for people to make out what it is, but not high enough to make the high-resolution image redundant.

And if you don’t want to use low-resolution and high-resolution pictures, you can create a “watermark” on your pictures or screenshots - having the words “to remove this watermarks visit “your AdFly”.  This can be a little more tricky and require more time, but equally as rewarding.

If you are posting useful or good quality pictures most people are willing to click to see the higher resolution.  This is particularly true of pictures that are of celebrities or funny images, but make sure never to use “adult” or ”pornographic” images that are banned by AdFly users.

Neat Little Trick

In this lesson I’m going to show you a neat little trick that will help you legitimately increase your clicks without doing any extra work.

I also, want to apologise if you are one of the many, many thousands of people who have already read this on the AdFly Forum.  So make sure you get something from this lesson I’m going to put a non-AdFly (shock horror) description of another useful site at the bottom of the page.

SIMPLE TRICK

One of the easiest ways of getting people to click on you Adf.ly links is by telling poeple not to something! Strange as that sounds.  For example, if I was to write click here and see how to earn money you might or might not click it, but if I wrote DO NOT CLICK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE HOW TO MAKE MONEY, you are more inclined to do it!

If you want to try this, then go to a forum and put two identical links with one persuading people to do something and one persuading them not too.  Or better still put them in your signature, so they are constantly repeated without any extra effort by you.

For example, try this setup:

"My Site!" <--- Exactly the same link, so PLEASE DO NOT CLICK HERE!

Obviously this work best if you can disguise the actual link, like I have above, but amazingly you'll find the second version of the same link being clicked just as much if not more! Human nature is an odd thing.

But always make sure you link to honest, clean, relevant and most importantly useful content. Ensure your links work.

NON-ADFLY MONEY EARNING TIP

Linking to Files and Streams

One of the most common uses of AdFly is to link to files, tv programmes, sites or any things that people want to get to (but don’t know how to).  In this lesson we will discuss the best and worst places to do this.  There will be some practical advice to help your clicks earn you money, when using AdFly.

FILE LINKING STRATEGIES

If you have ever come across walkthroughs and strategies for using AdFly or it's equivalents, you will probably have read about how you need to go on YouTube videos or Yahoo Answers and link to different sites to earn money.  Well this strategy doesn't always work.  Why?  Because that's too much work and you might as well be clicking on $0.001 adverts yourself with your time.

My strategy is slightly different in that rather than search for what people want and then search for that sites and providing a link (a long process), you simply create links to files, movies, tv programmes, etc that you already have.  Then you create AdFly links and submit them - basically reverse engineering the strategy.  Put simply the steps are:

1. The first thing you need is content.  This can be content that you own or links to other people's content on the internet (movies, music, books, websites, whatever).
2. Then you go to AdFly and shorten the link.
3. Next you go to the places where people search for this content.  Taking television programmes as an example, people might go to a TV show linking site and when at one of these link repositories you submit your AdFly link. (This is the only tricky point, finding which sites allow shorten links - but there are plenty of them).

That's it!  You can simply take a link (e.g. a BBC iPlayer link, run it through AdFly, submit it to a repository and earn)!

Clearly the more "active" links you have the more you will earn, but this is 100% passive (earning whilst watching TV or asleep sounds good, right?) and as long as you don't link to illegal content 100% legal.  The beauty of this system is that people want to get to the content and do not mind navigating through your advertisement.
